Where to stay in Naxos
The four neighbourhoods to pick between — and which fits which kind of trip.
Naxos Town (Chora)
The harbour, restaurants, the kastro. Best for first-timers, couples, and anyone who values walkability over a beach at the doorstep.
Agios Prokopios & Agia Anna
Two adjoining beach neighbourhoods, 15 minutes by car from town. Long beaches, plenty of good tavernas, easier for families.
Plaka
Quieter than Agios Prokopios, still with the long beach. Best for travellers who prioritise the beach and don’t need nightlife.
Mikri Vigla
Windier, further from town, loved by kitesurfers and couples looking for quiet. Book a car.
For sailing guests
All four areas are within easy reach of the Naxos Town seafront departure point. Staying in town makes the morning easier; staying at the beaches makes the rest of the day easier.
