For first-time sailing guests, what a “sailing day” actually involves can be hazy. Here’s the shape of ours.
09:00 — Meeting. You arrive at Rendez Vous café on the Naxos Town seafront. Your captain is already there. Ten minutes of introductions and briefings, then on to the boat.
09:30 — Cast off. Out under motor for the first few minutes, then sails up as soon as the harbour is behind us.
11:00 — First swim. A long stop at a clear bay. Snorkel gear comes out. Coffee or cold drink from the galley.
12:30 — Second stop or cave. Depends on the tour — either a second swim at a nearby cove or into a sea cave.
13:30 — Lunch ashore. Moor up at an island taverna. You eat. We keep an eye on the boat.
15:30 — Back out. Under sail again, usually with a final swim stop at a quiet cove.
18:00 — Return. Back in the old harbour as the light turns.
That’s the shape. What it feels like is different — slower than you’d expect, and also shorter.
